Statement from Valley View Villa regarding COVID-19

Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Fort Morgan, CO

Updated: Wednesday, December 23, 8:30 p.m. MST

Valley View Villa is committed to providing a high level of service in a safe environment that brings peace of mind to our residents and their families.

From the beginning of the pandemic, our associates have followed all guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. We continue to work closely with the local health department, the Colorado Department of Health and the Agency for Health Care Administration as our associates battle COVID-19.

Here are the latest details from our facility:

  • 39 resident cases: 0 active resident cases in the facility, 29 recoveries, 1 hospitalized and 9 deaths
  • 11 associate cases: 7 active cases and 4 recoveries

Our incredible associates have worked so hard and continue to go above and beyond each day. Our hearts are broken by the loss of nine of our residents. We are a family here, and we grieve alongside their loved ones.

Any resident who tests positive is isolated in the facility, and associates who test positive only return to work once CDC guidelines for returning to work have been met. Residents and associates are tested twice per week. Residents are monitored throughout the day and night, and associates are screened when they arrive and leave. We currently have no residents on our COVID-19 positive unit, and we are working with the health department to determine our next steps regarding visitations, activities and admissions.

We stay in consistent communication with the loved ones of residents, and we welcome their questions at any time. Visitation remains restricted, but we are happy to coordinate video or phone calls. We are thankful for the support and prayers from the community during this difficult time.
