On March 18, 2019, The American College of Health Care Administrators presented one of its 2019 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Awards to Jennifer Landis, executive director of Life Care Center of Pensacola, Florida.

The award, named in honor of visionary ACHCA member Eli Pick, is based on the criteria ranging from facility census to survey results. It acknowledges administrators who have guided their organizations to a higher level of quality. According to ACHCA, only seven percent of skilled nursing facilities nationwide qualify.

“I was honored to receive the letter and excited that our associates were recognized for their dedication and hard work,” said Landis. “We really enjoy seeing our patients progress, no longer needing our assistance. But with our long-term patients, we love getting to know them and their families. Our staff and residents are our most precious assets.”

Landis served Life Care Center of Pensacola as executive director from when it opened in 2006 until 2016. She then returned in 2017 and has led the building ever since.

“I have never loved a facility more than Life Care Center of Pensacola,” Landis said. “It feels like a family.”
