On Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, Life Care Center of Wilbraham transformed its facility into the Polar Express for families to enjoy a special holiday treat at the second annual employee children’s breakfast.
The breakfast was an event offered to Life Care Center of Wilbraham employees and their families. It was held from 9:30 a.m. to noon, with Santa arriving at 10:30 a.m.
Along with a complimentary breakfast, families received the chance to spend time with the Polar Express conductor, Mrs. Claus and her elves from the North Pole. They also had an opportunity to have their pictures taken with Santa and other Christmas characters, such as the Grinch.
The spirit of Christmas filled the air as families gathered together to make fun crafts and play holiday games. And in honor of the giving season, each family that had their photo taken with Santa and the Christmas characters received a free gift.
The event, coordinated by Lisa Persson, director of nursing, was organized in an effort to promote fellowship and community among associates and to provide a fun free event for employees to spend time with their families.
“The event was coordinated with a staff of elves to bring the magic and spirit of Christmas to Life Care Center of Wilbraham,” said Jan Garneau, admissions director.
