On Oct. 5, 2019, associates of Mirada Hills Rehabilitation and Convalescent Hospital in La Mirada, California, participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Huntington Beach.

The day of the walk was beautiful and sunny for the 1,452 participants. The Mirada Hills team had 15 participants, and they were proud to raise more than $300 toward the cause.

“It was a wonderful event that reminded us of loved ones who are suffering or have passed due to Alzheimer’s,” said a Mirada Hills associate. “The walk also brought us closer as co-workers, because we were walking for those we currently provide service and care for.”

According to its fundraising page, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Huntington Beach successfully raised $232,169 toward finding a cure for the disease and providing support for patients and families.
