Life Care Center of Hixson, Tennessee, recently contacted a local specialized shoe store to help a patient undergoing physical therapy services.
Emanuel Kennedy was taking part in PT at the facility to help with his balance, walking and safety. Therapists saw that he would benefit from an ankle foot orthosis to provide more stability in walking, and they fitted him with one.
“He quickly made noted improvements with his safety and walking performance but required a different shoe option to accommodate his new AFO,” said Josh Haislip, director of rehab services.
That’s when therapists contacted Front Runner Athletics, a local running and walking shoe store specializing in fitting women, men and kids for shoes. The store owner, Chad Varga, went above and beyond as he came out to Life Care Center of Hixson to assist with fitting Kennedy into an appropriate shoe.
“Thank you, Chad at Front Runner, for your exceptional customer service and assistance,” said Haislip.
