Each month, our facilities and communities host many fun and exciting events that engage and uplift our residents
We love to showcase these events because they represent an often-overlooked aspect of care––fun! Staying active, engaging with others, and having fun all carry great benefits for body, mind, and spirit. And our residents are getting healthy doses of all three.
Below are a few events and activities our communities held in September 2026.
Trip to Carter Caves at Life Care Center of Morehead
Residents at Life Care Center of Morehead packed their lunches and ventured to Carter Caves State Resort Park in Kentucky, where they enjoyed a picnic lunch together in lovely weather, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.
Football Season Kick-Off Party at Life Care Center of Gray
Football is finally back! Life Care Center of Gray residents and staff kicked off a new season with an exciting game-day celebration. Everyone wore their favorite teams, took fun photos, and gathered to watch a game.
Exploring Musso Farms Market at The Inn at Garden Plaza
A Friday adventure to Musso Farms Market! Residents at The Inn at Garden Plaza senior living community explored local goods and fresh produce while relishing the fall atmosphere. They even got a private tour of the farm! Afterward, they headed downtown for a delicious lunch.
Guess the Masked Singers at Life Care Center of Brookfield
Leave it to our activities departments to come up with unique and whimsical events to engage and entertain our residents! For this one, Life Care Center of Brookfield associates donned some crazy costumes and belted out tunes while the residents guessed who was behind the masks.
National Assisted Living Week Festivities at The Abbewood
In celebration of National Assisted Living week, residents and staff at The Abbewood senior living community indulged in a week of festivities and fellowship, with plenty of music, laughter, nostalgia, and connection.
At one point, Elvis “himself” came out of retirement to razzle, dazzle, and charm the residents with his biggest hits.
It was surely a Happy National Assisted Living Week at The Abbewood!
