From May 9-15, we celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week.
The American Health Care Association sponsors the week each year to increase awareness of skilled nursing and rehab centers and their staff and showcase how they provide an environment of security and quality of life. This year’s theme was “Together Through the Seasons.”
Each day, The Woodlands featured a different theme for fun-filled activities.
Tuesday was Carnival Day. We had popcorn, cotton candy and carnival games, which the residents had a blast playing!
Wednesday was Western Day, and our residents enjoyed a cookout and live music with their families.
Thursday was Red, White and Blue Day, and residents had a special craft of bleaching shirts outside.
On Friday, the weather was so nice, our residents went outside again and planted gardens.
All in all, it was a great week!
