At The Woodlands, we are proud of our long-time associates.
Ten associates have spent more than 15 years serving our residents here, and 18 associates have more than 10 years of experience at our center. We are thankful for each of them, their dedication and the stability and knowledge they bring to our team!
“I think the benefits of having a team with longevity lies in the relationships themselves,” said James Combs, our executive director. “It’s much harder to let those people down when you share a strong bond and vision for where things are going. Like I always say, we are family taking care of families.”
Katie Lucas, our social services director, has been with The Woodlands the longest – 41 years! She started as a certified nursing assistant but has been a social worker for more than 20 years now.
“I love the hugs, the smiles, the camaraderie,” Katie said about her job. “Our staff is very close and family-like.”
Brooke Jeffris, our MDS coordinator, has served at The Woodlands for almost 19 years. She started out as a CNA as well before becoming a licensed practical nurse.
“The satisfaction of helping others and the family atmosphere here are what have kept me here so long,” Brooke shared. “I really enjoy having fun with the residents and learning from them.”
Thank you to Katie, Brooke and all our Champions of Care who are committed to our residents and the great team we have here!
