Arriving from out of state unannounced to visit my mom in the memory care unit was an amazing experience! I was helped in the front door as I couldn’t remember code, I saw the improvements changing carpet to hard wood floors which is so much more hygienic- was directed to the actual unit she was at and was let in. Then I found this precious CNA Liliana who was very familiar w my mom and brothers. She took me to moms room and told her she had a surprise! My mom was so happy to see me and I her! I had not seen her since June before she was transferred to this room and she looked GREAT!!! I am a nurse from over 30 years in Indiana and my grandmother spent her last few years at WGP assisted living. This place has a wonderful reputation in the community and especially w nurses and doctors! Moms room was immaculate, her clothes were clean and well fitted- she expressed how much she likes it there. I know for a fact that she is eating better, getting around more in a safe environment, playing games with others (yay for socialization) and overall has improved quite a bit from where she was. A big shout out to Liliana! Mom said she loves her- that she is so kind. That was obvious! Thank you to Westside for the consistent top notch care and compassion shown to the residents, visitors, families! You are the best!!!!❤️❤️❤️
