Life Care Center of the North Shore resident turns 102

On Dec. 3, 2020, Life Care Center of the North Shore in Lynn, Massachusetts, celebrated resident Anna Kavjian’s 102nd birthday.

Born on Dec. 3, 1918, Anna is the middle child of Italian immigrants. She met her late husband working in a factory in Boston, and they married in 1944.

Anna was able to celebrate her birthday with her son, Bob Kavjian, and her daughter-in-law, Karen.

Bob reflected, “My mom lived through the Great Depression and World War II. Here she is today, still kicking, despite this horrible pandemic. I love her so much and always will. I remember my first day of kindergarten, I was crying and scared. I would not let go of her. She promised me she would be right outside the door. She stayed there all day for me, I think for three days, until I was comfortable. That’s the kind of loving mother she is.”

When asked what her biggest advice in life is, Anna responded, “Take one day at a time, don’t let the aches here and there get to you and enjoy every day.”
