Lois Roberts was admitted to Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau following a fall where she injured her lumbosacral region.
At the time of admission she was requiring minimal to moderate assistance with transfers, walking, maintaining her balance, bathing, toileting, and ADLs.
Mrs. Roberts received Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Those three therapies worked on building her strength, balance, and cognitive functioning; then helping her prepare to return home as she progressed in her therapy.
"Mrs. Roberts achieved her results with consistent efforts and focus on her goals to return home," said Ryan Bruce, PTA.
At the time of her discharge, Mrs. Roberts was Independent with transfers, ambulating, toileting, dressing, and bathing.
