Mrs. Mifflin was admitted to Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau from Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO following genitourinary system surgery.
At her time of admission, Mrs. Mifflin required MaxA for most activities: walking, bed mobility, transfers, dressing, and bathing. She was only able to take a couple of steps and required assistance to maintain her standing balance.
Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy focused their therapy on improving Mrs. Mifflin's functional tasks. She did therapy five days to improve her balance, transfers, activities of daily living, walking, and strength.
Following her stay at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau, Mrs. Mifflin is returning home. She has progressed to a modified independent level in all of the areas that she had deficits in at her admission and is set up for success.
