Pam has been an administrative assistant with Life Care Center of Elkhorn for 31 years. She has been in this same position the whole time; however, at one point she was also the regional secretary in addition to her work here in Elkhorn.
Pam’s day-to-day responsibilities include being the voice and the face of Life Care Center of Elkhorn, answering phone calls, setting up appointments, handling resident trust accounts, ordering office supplies, doing the daily census and the daily newsletter for residents, performing COVID-19 screenings… and anything else that the executive director asks of her.
Over the years, Pam’s position has changed quite a bit, especially with technology. She used to use a typewriter (there were no computers). She used to do the daily census by hand as well. There used to be only two phone lines, and now there are seven. She shares that the biggest challenge she faces now is keeping up with all the COVID guidelines.
Pam has been married for 46 years. She has three grown children who are all married and live in Texas and Kansas. She has six grandchildren.
Pam walks to and from work every day and walks home for lunch since she lives in the same neighborhood as our building.
Thank you, Pam, for being so dedicated to our residents and staff and being a smiling face at our facility through the years!
