Holiday Happenings for December 2025

Each month, our facilities and communities host many fun, exciting, and beneficial events that engage and uplift our residents.

We love to showcase these events because they represent an often overlooked aspect of care––fun! Staying active, engaging with others, and having fun all carry great benefits for body, mind, and spirit. And our residents are getting healthy doses of all three.

Below are some recent holiday-themed events and activities hosted by our communities across the U.S.

Christmas Storybook Writing at Life Care Center of Seneca

Inspired by local events and the spirit of the season, the lady residents of Life Care Center of Seneca wrote their very own Christmas children’s story: "Small Town Holiday Night!"

"The Night Before Christmas" better watch out! There may be a new holiday classic in town.

The talented Life Care Communications team designed the beautiful, charming pictures while the Seneca residents conceived the story and penned all the words themselves.

Sledding Therapy at Green Valley Care Center

The residents at Green Valley Care Center had a blast dashing through the snow with the facility’s therapy team. What a way to embrace the joys of winter while getting some much-needed therapy! It was a day of laughter, smiles, and memories made as the residents and staff experienced the magic of the season together. 

Wonderland Holiday Market at Life Care Center of Charleston

At Life Care Center of Charleston, residents and their families enjoyed shopping for handmade gifts, baked treats, and festive holiday items provided by local vendors.

At one point, Santa, Mrs. Claus and, of course, The Grinch stopped by to deliver plenty of laughs and holiday cheer.

Christmas Lights Tour at The Abbewood

Residents and staff at The Abbewood bundled up and ventured out on the town to admire some dazzling displays of Christmas lights. We can’t think of a better way to enjoy each other’s company and make spirits bright!

National Gingerbread House Day at Life Care Center of Palm Bay

Residents at Life Care Center of Palm Bay didn’t want to let National Gingerbread House Day pass them by. To celebrate the delightful day, they got together and made gingerbread logs that they used to build their beautiful sugar houses! They look delicious!
