Local paper names Lynchburg Nursing Center CNA county’s finest

Each year, the “Elk Valley Times” newspaper features its Lincoln County’s Finest awards in multiple categories, including certified nursing assistant.

Tekoa Bradford, a CNA at Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, Tennessee, recently earned this distinction for 2021 after being voted for by members of the community. She has been a CNA for 10 ½ years, six of which have been at Lynchburg Nursing Center.

“It feels wonderful to win this award and to feel appreciated and loved for what I do every day,” Tekoa shared.

Tekoa became interested in nursing after her grandmother had a stroke and she helped take care of her.

“From there, I learned to love caring for others,” Tekoa said.

She also loves her facility family.

“I love the residents and the environment,” Tekoa said. “Being able to put a smile on my residents’ faces and being able to help someone who depends on me is very rewarding. I love my residents, and it feels good to know they love me in return.”
