The Vosswood Nursing Center earns deficiency-free health survey

The Vosswood Nursing Center in Houston recently earned a deficiency-free annual health survey.

To pass the state health survey each year, nursing facilities must meet hundreds of criteria. The survey focuses on a wide variety of care areas in the facility, including nursing care, patients’ rights, safety, food services and administration. Surveyors spend several days in the building reviewing paperwork, observing resident care, and interviewing residents and associates.

The survey was completed on Jan. 15, and the facility found out the results on Jan. 21.

“All the praise goes to the team for a deficiency-free annual survey,” said Cassity Jones, executive director. “With all the challenges of the pandemic of this past year, this was truly a collaborative effort among our associates, our residents, residents' families, our medical team, and our local health care community. We remain committed to our mission of being the premier skilled nursing provider in our community.”
