Facility Happenings – June 2025
Each month, our facilities host many exciting events that engage and uplift our residents and serve the community.
We love to showcase these events because they represent an often overlooked aspect of care––fun! Staying active, engaging with others, and having fun all carry great benefits for body, mind, and spirit. And our residents are getting healthy doses of all three.
Below are some recent events and activities hosted by our facilities across the U.S.
Notes of Joy at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
The Notes of Joy choir from Lone Oak Baptist Church paid a visit to the residents at Parkview Nursing. The residents loved listening to the singers' beautiful, rich voices and lovely harmonies. We love having people from the local community come share their amazing talents with our residents and staff!
Par-Tea at Life Care Center of Pensacola
Tea time was a huge success at Life Care Center of Pensacola!
Residents were able to choose from five different flavors of hot tea as well as a variety of sweet treats. What a lovely time!
Gardening Fun at Mayfair Village Nursing Care Center
There’s nothing like digging in the soil and enjoying the fresh air with good people! Residents had a wonderful time planting flowers and vegetables while soaking up the sunshine on the facility’s beautiful patio.
A Day in Cherokee for Life Care Center of Hendersonville
Residents spent the day in Cherokee, NC! They ate pizza, shopped at craft stores, and sat by the river. Resident Miss Honeycutt stated it was the best day ever. Miss Stanzini was in complete awe over the beautiful Native Anerican crafts while she shopped for her grandchildren. Residents even bought items for their roommates so they could share their adventure.
Art Arrival at Life Care Center of Plainwell
The family of artist Karen Johnson donated 150 pieces of her art to Life Care Center of Plainwell. The art will be displayed throughout the facility, even in residents' rooms!
Mary Clare Johnson of Allegan helped transport the art from Grand Rapids to the facility. The arrival of the lovely pieces became a memorable event where residents and staff gathered to admire the pieces.
