At Life Care Center of Colorado Springs, residents are – and have always been – our highest priority.

On Thursday, May 21, we did facility-wide COVID-19 testing of our residents and associates. We are thankful to announce that our building received all negative tests for COVID-19. This is an incredible accomplishment, and our staff deserves all the credit for their continual focus on infection control and doing what is best for our residents. We understand that the virus is still a very real problem for our country, and we remain vigilant to the threat. Our residents will continue to be monitored multiple times per day and night for any symptoms or concerns. We stand united with the healthcare workers across America as well all face this virus.

We will also continue to strictly follow the latest guidelines offered by the CDC and CMS, as we have been doing since the first reported cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. As part of these guidelines, all of our associates are screened when they arrive for work and when they leave, including checking temperature, to ensure no additional sickness is brought into our building.

Both the state and local health departments have been extremely supportive, and we extend our sincere thanks for their partnership. We are also thankful for the overwhelming support we've received from the Colorado Springs community.
