Statement from Evergreen Nursing Home regarding COVID-19

Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Alamosa, CO

Updated: Thursday, November 26, 6:40 a.m. MST

Evergreen Nursing Home is committed - as always - to the health and well-being of our residents.

Here are our current COVID-19 updates:

Residents

  • Active cases: 11
  • Deceased: 1

Associates

  • Active cases: 11

Our hearts are broken by the loss of a dear member of a resident family. We extend our thoughts and prayers to their family and loved ones.

All residents and staff members are being tested every Monday and Thursday. Any positive results will be reported appropriately to residents, staff, responsible parties and health agencies. Residents who test positive will be placed in an isolated section of our facility. Associates who test positive quarantine at home and will not return to work until CDC requirements for returning to work are met.

We have been and will continue to follow all CMS, CDC and state and local health department guidelines concerning COVID-19. These guidelines include restrictions on the entrance of visitors, family members and vendors. Associates are also screened when they arrive for work and when they leave.

Although visitation remains restricted, we're happy to coordinate phone calls or video chats. We are staying in consistent communication with the families of our residents, and we always welcome their questions and contact.

We continue to work in partnership with the Colorado Department of Health and the local health department and will follow the guidance they provide. We appreciate their continued support, as well as the support of the Alamosa community.
