At Villa Manor Care Center, residents are – and have always been – our highest priority.
Eight of our associates have tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals will remain at home until the CDC’s requirements for recovery have been met.
Our facility tests all associates on Mondays and all residents on Tuesdays each week. We have not received any COVID-19 positive results for our residents.
We will continue to follow all CMS, CDC and state and local health department guidelines concerning COVID-19. Our associates are being diligent on practicing proper hand hygiene and the use of personal protective equipment, which is recurring education they normally receive, beginning with their orientation at our facility. Every associate is also screened when they arrive for work and when they leave, including checking temperature, to ensure no additional sickness is brought into our building.
These guidelines place restrictions on the entrance of visitors, family members and vendors, and signage to this effect is posted on our doors. However, we remain in consistent communication with residents, family members and associates to update them on positive cases and any other pertinent information from our facility. We always welcome their questions and contact. Even though visitation remains restricted, we’re happy to coordinate phone calls, video chats or window visits. Our facility is a family, and we’re all working together to take care of our residents and each other.
We also continue to work in partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment, as well as local health agencies, and will follow the guidance they provide. We appreciate their continued support, as well as the support of the Lakewood community. We are proud to be members of this town and to take care of so many of its valued residents.
