At Life Care Center of Westminster, the safety of our residents and peace of mind for our families and loved ones are our highest priorities.

Here are the latest details from our facility:

  • 14 residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • 12 associates have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • September 29, 2020 – One associate tested positive for COVID-19.
  • October 7, 2020 – One resident tested positive for COVID-19.
  • October 12, 2020 – Four additional residents have tested positive; four additional associates have also tested positive.
  • October 15, 2020 – Five additional residents have tested positive; seven additional associates have also tested positive.
  • October 19, 2020 – Four additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19. No additional associate cases.

The residents who have tested positive are isolated per CDC guidelines and receiving care in our facility. The associates are quarantined and will only return to work when guidelines from the CDC have been met.

We have appropriately notified and communicated with the state health department, resident responsible parties and and staff members. We will continue this open communication.

All associates and residents are being tested every three days and spot tested daily. Our residents are also monitored multiple times day and night for any symptoms or concerns. Every associate is also screened when they arrive for work and when they leave, including checking temperature and monitoring for any symptoms or concerns.

We have been and will continue to follow all CMS, CDC and state and local health department guidelines concerning COVID-19. Signage with information on COVID-19 and details about these restrictions is posted on our doors.

Although visitation remains restricted, we’re happy to coordinate phone calls or video chats. We are staying in consistent communication with the families of our residents, and we always welcome their questions and contact. As soon as visitations are considered safe based on state guidelines, we will begin visits. We can't wait to see the loved ones who bring smiles to the faces of our residents.

We continue to work in partnership with the Colorado Department of Health and the local health department and will follow the guidance they provide. We appreciate their continued support, as well as the support of the local community.
