To all those who are looking for placement for their loved ones, stop. This is the place to be. I’m writing this with much gratitude. To say to the co care givers from Crystal up front to Tasha and Latonya moms case workers if I have that right and John in the kitchen who personally seen to it that all moms nutritional needs were met without fail after our initial visit.It is very important for us vegans.All the food people were wonderful.Thank you all for your smiles and every time I ask for something you all brought what I requested.And for the spotless plates and utensils.I am very thankful for the dishwashers perfection!And all the janitorial and laundry staff. Thank you all as well and as I said in person to those of you I came in contact with your importance in keeping that home spotless can never be thanked enough.Please know I am forever grateful for each of your extra efforts.And Whitney you and your co workers encouraging mom and getting her moving again.It is just great what you have her doing know you all are much appreciate by mom and I. And to Dr.Nallari and Dr.Waldo thank you both for looking over mom and having such good bed side manners.And taking the time to speak to me in detail over the phone also about moms progress.Your lack of a-distracting ego is beyond commendable it is so trust building.Thank for your generous time explaining and listening.And to all the nursing staff who’s names I did not get the chance to know. Please know your beautiful smiles are unforgettable and your tireless timely attending to keeping mom and all your residence clean and comfortable matches those smiles.I have great respect for each one of you.Thank you.The little things like weaving mommas hair or pulling it back with a tie. It’s touched me seeing the value you put into those resident by those act even though I don’t know who did them. Thank you! If I left one person out of these word of gratitude for all your efforts to make mommas comfortable stay, I humbly ask that you forgive me and I thank you as well. And Nurse John,I interacted the most with you so not to pick a favorite or taking away one bit of the care and compassion all your co nurses and nurses aids do as well and just so you know you are well spoken of by all your co workers I visited with when your name came up. And for good reason. Hands down in the 7 facilities, ER's included that mom has been you are the most knowledged and through and kind nurse mom has had the good fortune to have looking over her needs in a always good an ahead of time/need fashion. Your conduct is an inspiration to me to see how I can better myself at all things I do,seeing you do your profession at your peak performance smiling non stop.Momma at 96 calls you her little buddy.I can tell that every time we interacted you were in or on your A game. Most would call it hard work. But it's a labor of love to be the best and seeing the joy and bounce in your step with which you do it is to me glowingly un matched in depth. You are from my vantage point one that brings forward from the past that old school care and compassion in the healing of each individual you encounter no matter their circumstances.And you are one of the rare of humanity that is capable of multiple dividing of your attention/awareness and give 110% in each piece of those division.How you looked out the corner of your eye after dear Connie like a parent can never be unseen for me.Beside been extraordinarily good at the art of nursing you are a great man John.Thank you.And again thank everyone for what you guys and gals do for our fellow humanity in need.My desire for each one of you that make Life Care of Valparaiso work like it does is for you all to be healthy,joyous, much loved and well compensated.With Great Respect Michael

Life Care Center of Valparaiso has been excellent. Dr. Nallari and Dr. Waldo make rounds and see each and every patient along with their nurses Jamie and Sherry. Sherry is an infectious disease nurse and a Godsend. Knows the patients history and such a patient advocate. Jamie is excellent. Speech therapist Natalie worked tirelessly with mom who could not swallow after a prolonged hospital stay and is now eating a normal diet on her own. Ashley is very helpful. Crystal the Director and of Nursing is hands on her office is open and she is present. Sandy is also excellent and always available for any questions and dedicated. Miss Tasha and Tanya are the best social workers I have met and have open office doors helping with discharge and any other issues. They are present for patient and their family. Need tests a van will pull up and do them right outside of the facility ( swallow test) for mom. Labs urinalysis all at the facility. Chanel transporter/CNA if your family member needs to get to any appointments is so kind and dependable. She brings joy. Nurse John is a standout and if he says he will do something it happens. He is attentive and respectful to every patient. Diligent beyond words. Kind and joyous. Nurses are super Lisa is exceptional, Lori T is very attentive, Lacey on top of everything, Kathy is fabulous, Angie is also excellent. Then the CNAs that are stellar. Kind respectful and hardworking🙏. Standouts are Letitia( Leti),Tam, Kenya, Aniyah,Myra and Hank they all kept my mom spotless and were prompt and efficient. Also the hair stylist that has been here 27 years is super and treated my mom with the utmost respect. I may have forgotten some names. Housekeeping is wonderful. If you are looking for a Starbucks in a facility or new interior this is not the place but I was able to leave here and know my mom’s needs were exceeded. It is not about what a facility looks like but what the care is. I have zero complaints with my mom in the rehab portion. However if my mom needed permanent placement I would certainly place her here. I am very picky and was hesitant to even consider a facility for rehab but I am glad I placed my mom in rehab here as she has flourished beyond my expectations. Also a live person always answers the phone and if the nurse needs to get a hold of you they will call. Thanks to mom’s entire team. Noted the turnover rate is low and many employees have been here a long time.

I cannot be more thankful & grateful to the entire staff for providing excellent care and compassion to my mom in her time of need. It was her end of life and such a stressful time for our family! They went above and beyond to help us get through a very difficult time! Thank you all again for everything you did for our family! We were blessed to have your care for our mom 🙏🏻

The lovable team at life care you couldn’t ask for a better place to send your loved ones that need the extra help I rate them a five star the staff was very caring for my mom and she loved them as well.

Such a wonderfully place! EVERYONE was soooo friendly! They took care of my father john( herb) with such care. Even the residents were friendly. Absolutely recommend this place. Thanks to all the cnas ashley and Dwayne for the best care ever! God bless you all you are all angels. Thanks for keeping my dad comfortable. God bless
