Statement Regarding Incident at Garden Terrace at Overland Park

On the morning of September 30, 2025, an incident occurred on one of the units at Garden Terrace at Overland Park.

Two residents were injured by a third resident. Staff immediately responded to the situation and performed appropriate actions to assess the injured parties and protect other residents. Both residents sustained injuries during the incident and were taken to a local hospital. The third resident was also transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Facility staff have assessed the needs of residents not involved in the incident to ensure their continued physical, mental, and social well-being.

Resident safety is our top priority at Garden Terrace at Overland Park, and our staff continually work to protect our residents. We have been and will continue cooperating with all authorities in their investigation. We will also continue monitoring the condition of the injured residents.
