Review too long, original in photos, highlights below. Take heed of the reviews. There is truth to it. Everything in my review was reported to mgmt. I was promised that things would be taken care of, they were not. So if they comment that they want to talk to me, they already have, nothing was done. It didn’t matter when my mom was in this facility, why does it matter now that she’s gone. The PT & OT staff were amazing. Thank you to Susan, Christy, & Megan for your wonderful care. Thank you to Nathan, Theresa, & Melissa for the laughs, to Chrissy who was so gentle & kind, & to Kaley, Dustin, & Kenra who were always on top of things when I asked. Lastly, to Evelyn, who was truly a gem! So kind & caring to her patients even when the shift before dumped their work on her. Then there are staff like G, who let my Mom lay there one night in pain for over an hour w/ her call light on, never once coming to check on her. Mom resorted to calling the facility. The person who answered snidely told her that her nurse would be there ’in a minute’ & hung up on her. We reported it, no one got in trouble. On 9/9 mom let me know that G never came to get her out of bed. Apparently she didn’t like my mom & this was retaliation for that. She was overheard telling staff she never came to get her up & that she thought it was ‘funny’. My Mom has 2 broken ankles & cancer. I don’t find anything about this situation funny nor that staff like her are still employed here. Mom’s hands were swollen to 3x their size. No one questioned it, even after my Mom complained. I had to haul someone in before she was examined. I was told it was the way she was laying. I knew it wasn’t & suspected a heart/circulation problem. No doctor came by to examine her. Fast forward 5 days & she was admitted to the ER w/ congestive heart failure. They drained off 17 lbs of water! She had a lot of GI upset while she was here. We told the nurses about it, gave her immodium each day. It got so bad, she couldn’t leave her room. Staff knew, we told them. I feared she would become dehydrated, got access to her medications to see if something had these side effects. Turns out she was getting not one, but 2 laxatives! After all of this time, being miserable for weeks, why didn’t anyone question this? I reported it to the nurse on staff & asked to take them out of her chart. It never happened. Every day they came & every day we had to tell them to stop giving them to her. One nurse got angry that we were questioning, shoved the cup in her face & told her “Here’s your pills, take ALL of them!”. I had to teach Mom what they looked like so she could throw them in the trash. I eventually took this to the nurse’s supervisor who promised me she was taking them out, Mom received one the next day. -On 9/23 she was only given ½ her dose of a med -On 9/24 she was randomly given 3 melatonin- They were another patient’s meds -On 9/25, after the laxatives showed up in her medicine cup again, I demanded she be removed from the facility. I told mgmt, it was sheer incompetence. I’m thankful my Mom had her wits about her, some there do not. Other things: Her first 3 weeks she received a shower 1x/week. At a minimum she’s supposed to get 2. Mom caught her temp nurse vaping in the room behind the nurse’s station. I rounded the corner just after a staff person told a blind resident w/ dementia to “shut up” & on top of everything else, the place was just filthy. The video was taken after staff had mopped the room. I’ll let you decide for yourself if this is how you want your loved one treated. Bottom line, I found out the hard way why the reviews were so terrible. I loved some of the staff, but from what I can see, there is a definite mgmt problem because nothing reported was fixed. There is never a manager on duty during the weekend. I took off work to sit down and report the medication situation, I was asked why it took so long to report things, my reply was “because you are never here!”

My aunt Rosie Smith is a patient there and she said she,was galled on her private places. I understand she can't walk or stand do to cancer . I still dont think she should have to sit in her wet underwear. I'm thinking reach out to someone. I think that nursing home abuse.
