Each month, our facilities host many fun, exciting, and beneficial events that engage and uplift our residents and serve the community.
We love to showcase these events because they represent an often overlooked aspect of care––fun! Staying active, engaging with others, and having fun all carry great benefits for body, mind, and spirit. And our residents are getting healthy doses of all three.
Below are some recent events and activities hosted by our facilities across the U.S.
Residents at Life Care Center of Burlington wanted to capture the luck of the Irish by creating some lovely and charming leprechaun pins!
Everyone had a great time, and no one got pinched.
In honor of National Oreo Day, residents at The Woodlands taste-tested eight different varieties of Oreo––eight! They really know how to spend a day––and how to make bloggers jealous.
The mint-flavored Oreos were voted the best!
Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation became a care-nival facility when residents and associates celebrated Mardis Gras with a bead challenge!
Throughout the day, residents and associates played rock-paper-siccors to win or lose beads. The winning associate was Barbara Moss, and the winning resident was Tammy Halliburton.
Congratulations, guys!
The rehab department at Life Care Center of Sparta put on a health fair for the assisted living residents! The primary focus was to assess the strength and balance of the residents.
We love it when our facilities think of fun and engaging ways for our residents to stay active and healthy!
