Facility Happenings – July 2025
Each month, our facilities host many exciting events that engage and uplift our residents and serve the community.
We love to showcase these events because they represent an often overlooked aspect of care––fun! Staying active, engaging with others, and having fun all carry great benefits for body, mind, and spirit. And our residents are getting healthy doses of all three.
Below are some recent events and activities hosted by our facilities across the U.S.
Iced Coffee and Music at Life Care Center of the South Shore
Residents at the South Shore beat the summer heat with with a delicious iced coffee bar, a flip card game, and live music from Paul. Our facilities really know how to enjoy the season indoors and outdoors!
Independence Day Celebration at Mayfair Village Nursing Care Center
Mayfair Village had a blast celebrating the 4th of July with their wonderful residents! From Kona Ice and hot dogs to a refreshing splash tower, the fun never stopped. They ended the day with TAPS, honoring those who served our country. It was certainly a Happy Independence Day for them!
UFO Day at The Highlands
Quirkiness and fun invaded The Highlands recently. For World UFO Day, residents celebrated by throwing “aliens” through the rings of Saturn, tossing them into a black hole, and using their special tracker beam to rope in space ships! If that wasn't enough, they also put their Nerf gun skills to use blasting the pesky aliens back to their ships. It was a whole galaxy of fun!
Wiffle Ball at Life Care Center of Elizabethton
Residents at Elizabethton took themselves out to the ball game with a friendly match of wiffle ball! Laughter, cheers, and a few home runs made for a perfect day of summer fun that the rain couldn't stop!
July 4th Fireworks and Water Fun at Life Care Center of Banner Elk
For the residents at Banner Elk, the Fourth was a day of color, comradery, and patriotic spirit. They painted their nails red, white, and blue, stayed cool with water games and bubbles, and enjoyed a beautiful fireworks show under the stars!
