Life Care Facility Happenings – April 2025

Each month, our facilities host many fun, exciting, and beneficial events that engage and uplift our residents and serve the community.

We love to showcase these events because they represent an often overlooked aspect of care––fun! Staying active, engaging with others, and having fun all carry great benefits for body, mind, and spirit. And our residents are getting healthy doses of all three.

Below are some recent events and activities hosted by our facilities across the U.S.

Auction at Life Care Center of Michigan City

Every month, we hold an auction for our residents where they bid on snacks, cute decor, clothing items, and other fun stuff. This is one of the residents' favorite activities!

April Fool’s Dress-Up Day at Hickory House Nursing Home

Our residents had fun dressing foolish to celebrate this April Fool's Day! It's always a good time at Hickory House with this crew!

Magdalena the Violinist at Marysville Care Center

We had a lovely violinist come and play. Her stage name is Magdalena and she was absolutely wonderful! Some residents actually got emotional, the soft, sweet sounds evoking long time memories. We will be having her again in July!

Cinnamon Rolls with Memory Care at Life Care Center of Medina

The memory care unit at Life Care Center of Medina cooked up and enjoyed some goodies recently. Cinnamon rolls, anyone? Our memory unit is always cooking up some goodies! These delightful snacks were enjoyed with some music and a few episodes of Little House on the Prairie!

Tic-Tac-Toe Bowling at Life Care Center of Sullivan

We put a spin on the old fashion tic-tac-toe and added bowling! Three in a row then get a strike by knocking them all down! We love it when our residents have a blast playing unique and exciting games!

Parachute Fun at Rivergate Terrace

Who doesn’t love parachute games?! They happen to be a favorite for the residents at Rivergate Terrace, as part of their Happy Feet Program!
