Skilled Nursing

Skilled nursing involves professional health care provided by licensed nurses, therapists, and other medical staff. These services are designed for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. They may include wound care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, medication management, and more, providing a comprehensive approach to recovery and rehabilitation.

Long-term care, on the other hand, caters to individuals with chronic health conditions or disabilities who need ongoing support. It encompasses not just medical care, but also assistance with personal tasks (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating. In long-term care, our facility often becoming a new home, and we aim to make it as comfortably home-like as possible.

Both skilled nursing and long-term care have their place along the healthcare continuum, providing appropriate services for seniors with different needs. For all our residents at Life Care Center of Orlando, whatever level of care they receive, we offer personalized care plans with the same ultimate goals: Enhancing residents' well-being, independence, and dignity, and providing peace of mind for families.

Nurses and certified nursing assistants work on-site, overseen by our director of nursing, and a medical director physician visits our residents regularly.
