Rivergate Terrace

Oh boy went to visit one of my good friends of 7 years She had went to the hospital because her lungs collapsed and she was sent there for rehab. She did not even get one day of rehab and they put her on the second floor in the nursing home on two muscle relaxers and Seroquel saying she was sundowner dementia she couldn't pass the test well she was a smoker and she was of course not able to smoke and she had two muscle relaxers and a Seroquel so yeah she was not going to pass any test at that point. She was held there for 11 months against her will I was denied a visit with her and one of the social workers was very adamant about keeping me away She was grilled anytime a visitor came in what are you talking about who is that what do they want? She had me or her sister-in-law on the phone almost all the time. She would ring for assistance to go to the bathroom they would say she didn't need assistance her sister-in-law called and said can you please go up and give her assistance she really has to go to the bathroom they hung up on her. They're being over medicated My friend who is a mover and a groover was so sick and weak in there. My dear friend almost died I begged her day and night call 911 Tell them to come and get you her voice was getting so tiny on the end of the phone It was scary. She begged to go and they would not let her leave. They also put in for guardianship of her through one of the social workers and Michigan guardian services. Thankfully the Wayne county probate Court judges prefer family and friends to be guardians not businesses. Finally after 3 days of all of us begging her to dial 911 and get out of there She did thankfully she made it to the hospital I was right there to take a video of her she was frail she was thin she was weak and I did not think she would live I took a video of her explaining all the hell she had been through because I felt a judge needed to see it if she passed away there needed to be proof. We explained everything to the hospital and that hospital tested her and tested her and said she's perfectly fine mentally to go home All traces of her sundown and her dementia disappeared because the hospital was not putting her on all those medications. As soon as they let her I'll be there to go home I snatched her and took her to U of m Ann arbor where they did extensive test on her found out they had her on two statins which will cause heart failure and when she begged to go see her doctor and get her doctor's appointments they told her she had no other doctor She could only see the doctors in there denied her second opinion. When I showed up to see her the nurse at the front desk will say nurse k would say in front of everybody in the office regarding her health mental health and well-being All of her business total disregard for HIPAA laws. Be very careful of this place get your loved one out of there if you ever watch the I Care lot movie... Well you'll get it I even said that when the judge ordered my good friend to be released no guardian required the judge had her see his doctor and his choice and that doctor said there was absolutely nothing wrong with her that would stop her from living at home. She's been living at home going out to eat going shopping she's been keeping up with her doctor's appointments her dentist appointments She has been having fun with family and friends and I am so glad she is not just sitting in that place rotting away that place would make someone welcome death as the only way to escape my friend lost 11 months of her life worse than a criminal She could have gotten visits in prison and she would have got better food

Absolutely DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE in Rivergate Terrace! My mother is no longer here to tell her story but I will! She was neglected by the nursing staff and got sepsis 2x! My mother was only 62 years old! The 2nd trip to the hospital was the final departure from this hell hole! Social workers and staff only call you back when its convenient for them and don't even get me started on how many times my mom fell in this place under the eyes of the negligent staff!! Please don't bring your loved ones here!!!!!
