Becky Tallent, a resident of Athens, Tennessee, recently needed some help getting back on her feet after a bout with the flu.

Becky suffers from COPD, which was exacerbated by the flu. When she came to Life Care Center of Athens, she needed moderate assistance for wheelchair mobility, bathing and getting dressed. She also needed help with walking, bed mobility, getting in and out of bed and standing balance.

Physical and occupational therapists worked with Becky to help her reach her goals and return home. Physical therapy addressed her strength, balance and mobility, including walking skills, while occupational therapy retrained her in her activities of daily living.

After three weeks of rehab, Becky successfully returned home to her husband, independent.

“The Life Care team brought the quality back to my life,” said Becky.
