Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau earns Medicare’s five-star rating

Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, recently earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The rating system for CMS is designed to help people choose the best care for loved ones. The ratings are based on associates, health inspections and quality measures such as weight loss, falls and pain management.

“The five-star rating to our team means hard work, compassion and giving the best care to our residents,” said Derick Cummins, executive director. “It makes us proud of where we work and that our hard work shows.”

The facility’s regional team stopped by on March 1 to recognize the associates for their achievement with ice cream sundaes.
