Life Care Center of Sparta, Tennessee, celebrated its 20th anniversary on Aug. 10, 2020, with a small reception for associates and residents.
Due to the coronavirus, our planned open house and community celebration had to be cancelled, but the team wanted to celebrate the momentous occasion as much as possible with the current restrictions. Associates were treated to a cupcake buffet and punch. Cupcakes and 20th anniversary cookies were also delivered to the residents so they were able to enjoy the celebration as well.
We held the event on our weekly associate COVID-19 testing day so all associates were able to participate. The department manager team set up the display and also offered treats to associates at the drive-through testing area. Several associates who were at the grand opening shared stories about the facility opening and their first admission. Associates had the chance to look at the program from the grand opening as well. Local pottery store The Fragrant Mushroom made 20th anniversary coasters for each associate to commemorate the event.
“The team at Life Care Center of Sparta is honored to celebrate 20 years of serving the Upper Cumberland region,” said Latessa Morris, senior executive director. “Each and every member of the community who we have been privileged to provide care to has been a blessing. We are excited to see what the next 20 years bring.”
