Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, Tennessee, recently bestowed its $500 student scholarship for 2020 to Sarah Jolley.

Sarah, a 2020 Moore County High School graduate, trained at Lynchburg Nursing Center as part of a HOSA-Future Health Professionals class and plans to attend Motlow State Community College in Moore County.

“Sarah has been active in HOSA all four years of high school, participating at the regional and state levels,” said Belinda Smith, health science education teacher. “She is one of the kindest, most caring and compassionate students you will meet. She plans to become a registered nurse and will be an excellent one!”

Students interested in the scholarship completed an application describing their goals and plans for college. The Resident Council and executive director at Lynchburg Nursing Center then selected the recipient.

“Lynchburg Nursing Center is proud to be a part of our community by providing this scholarship to a well deserving young student,” said Cheryl Pendergrass, executive director. “We hope she will further her career and return to join our team someday.”

“I want to pursue nursing because I love to help people and make a difference,” said Sarah.
