Deborah Doninger: Kidney Failure Can't Keep Her Down

Deborah was very sick and weak from acute kidney failure. She was admitted from the hospital to receive short-term rehab at Parkvie Care Center.

Deborah needed assistance with all activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living prior to returning home to live independently.

She participated in occupational, physical and speech therapies to regain strength and endurance for walking and dressing. We focused on cleaning schedules and medication management prior to her returning home.

Deborah stated,"I love my stay here. I loved my therapists Jessica, Amanda and Jo Anna. They were so kind, nice and caring. I loved the nurses Melissa and Roxie. There was also a Tamika who was really nice. I loved everyone."

Deborah discharged home to her apartment independently with home health and plans in place to keep her successful!

We are so happy Deborah was able to return home, to church and to other activities she enjoys!
