Excellent care so far. Impressed

Rehabs and nursing home talk is very sensitive nowadays … in our experience there is NO advocacy in SORI for the elderly. At Cherry Hill, this facility is more than a nursing home and rehabilitation center. I cannot commend the staff here enough! From that very moment you walk into the facility and you might be greeted by the pleasant office workers, or the staff in general walking the hallway. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that their patients are cared for, I have witnessed that EVERY single time I visit my father. I see how the staff interacts with other patients as well and they really do care! The nurses, CNAs, housekeepers, PT and Dietary, always accommodating, always cheerful and they listen to you and your loved one. Any questions they cannot answer they always relay it to the persons that will know and those people are either in the room or on the phone with us within the same day. This is not your average rehab facility, they have employees that actually work, they are scattered about and running around everywhere tending to their patients and even take time for the visiting family members. My father never sits in bed, as he did in other places for weeks until they finally got him out of bed! They have him up in his chair in the am, then PT after breakfast, and cooking his own eggs which he has not done in years, standing on his own for 30 plus min at a time which he has not done in many years … then he’s sitting in his chair again, then has lunch in his chair NOT bed, same for dinner. PT sometimes gets him twice a day!?! Always, always clean sheets, blankets and pillow cases they are always sweeping the floors and cleaning the bathroom in his room. Always has ICE (not melted and warm) and fresh water or a soft drink or juice … always! It’s not just sitting there all day warm like other places we have experienced. They even have the courtesy to ask us the family visiting if we would like something to drink or a snack. Took us a couple of years to have him finally have the opportunity to be treated here due to insurance stipulations of course. We are grateful dad was able to be CARED for here. THANK YOU so very much for taking care of my father, and my mom and I who are there daily to keep dad company. We will always appreciate you! At Cherry Hill, I feel as though not only my father, but our entire family has an entire advocacy team behind us because The Cherry Hill Team truly cares about all of us! Staff are very kind, caring and attentive.

I was there for eight weeks. The food really sucked, but I gave five stars anyway because of the Care the whole team, Laurie’s Nurses my CNA’s, Paul, my main CNA all the others, the amount of care that they give, their empathy they are attentiveness. They’re really really good. I have to give a shout out to my physical therapist and my occupational therapist, Jeffrey and Kelsey, who unbelievably patient and great and brought me back from being totally bedbound to ambulatory. They truly were incredibly patient incredibly professional, incredibly gifted. The whole team that took care of me. They all deserve raises. I can’t say enough about the place. It’s too bad that they are understaffed, but I guess that is something that is applicable to all healthcare places. But if you have to go to a rehab, Cherry Hill Manor is the place to go, except for the food. Once again, thank you.
