Community Happenings for July 2026

Each month, our facilities and communities host many fun and exciting events that engage and uplift our residents

We love to showcase these events because they represent an often-overlooked aspect of care––fun! Staying active, engaging with others, and having fun all carry great benefits for body, mind, and spirit. And our residents are getting healthy doses of all three.

Below are a few events and activities our communities held in July 2026.

Wonka Party at The Highlands 

The classic film “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” turned 55 this year, and The Highlands was more than ready to celebrate!

Residents and staff got together for the occasion and enjoyed games, snacks, sing-a-longs, and a wacky photo shoot.

103rd Birthday at Life Care Center of Raynham

We love celebrating residents' birthdays, especially when they are in the three-digit territory!

Mary from Life Care Center of Raynham joyously celebrated her 103^rd birthday with friends, family, and Life Care associates. Everyone enjoyed delicious cupcakes, and Mary appropriately donned her lovely tiara.

 

Wheelchair & Walker Wash at Cottesmore of Life Care

Have you ever heard of a wheelchair and walker wash? Well, that’s what the residents at Cottesmore of Life Care did to experience the outdoors while beating the summer heat!

 

Cool Fishing at Life Care Center of Brookfield

When you don’t want to fish under the blazing summer sun, bring the fishing inside!

Residents at Life Care Center of Brookfield recently spent an afternoon enjoying indoor fishing, ice cream, and fellowship.

 

Having Fun & Being Weird at Life Care Center of Old Hickory Village

When it comes to creating new and exciting games to play, Life Care Center of Old Hickory Village has no shortage of imagination!

We are not totally sure what this game is (pants ball?), but it looks like tons of fun and a great way to get exercise and more than a few laughs.

 

Fourth of July Parade at Remington Heights Retirement Community

Sporting their red, white, and blue gear, the residents at Remington Heights put on a festive parade through the halls of the community. Afterward, everyone gathered for a lively celebration.
