Our Whatever It Takes Champions program honors associates who go beyond their job descriptions in caring for our patients, residents, and families. Here are four recent winners and their inspiring stories. We are proud to have associates like these who define what it means to be Champions of Care!

Desiree worked for several years as an activities assistant but later transferred to the therapy department, where she became a COTA. During her time in activities, she organized and led a small Bible study group, which the residents grew to cherish and look forward to every week. When Desiree left activities, she did not want the residents to lose their beloved study group, so she continued holding meetings on her own time!

When a fire broke out in the facility parking lot one night, Richard acted immediately. He grabbed a fire extinguisher and put the fire out before the fire department could even arrive. His bravery and quick response kept the facility, residents, and associates safe.
Here is a patient’s testimony regarding Jalen’s outstanding care!
“In the few days I've gotten to experience Jalen's care, I have felt so very blessed to get to be cared for by him! He is so gentle, so patient, and willing, able, and happy to do everything I need. Every morning he walks into my room I know it's going to be a great day! Can I do this nomination again for the same person if the urge strikes?”
“Kristine is wonderful with all the patients. We would love to thank her for the care she gives to Sarah White, my mother-in-law, my husband's mother. Kristine goes above and beyond to give exceptional care. We love her.”
Resident Sarah’s family included this special note when they nominated Kristine for the Whatever It Takes award.
