Our Whatever It Takes Champions program honors associates who go beyond their job descriptions in caring for our patients, residents, and families. Here are four recent winners and their inspiring stories. We are proud to have associates like these who define what it means to be Champions of Care!

The family members of our patient’s and residents often say it the best! Here is what one had to say about Noel's care:
“Noel has helped my family, Gary Conrady, to be able to walk with his ability to use humor and military words of encouragement to motivate Gary. Gary was in the military, and this is what he needed. Noel has a great heart and has truly motivated Gary.”

When a resident who loved flowers had to remove her wilting bouquet, Demarcus stepped in and bought her a lovely bouquet of artificial flowers so she would never be without her beloved blooms. Demarcus’s kindness and thoughtfulness brightened both the resident’s room and her spirits.
When a short-term therapy patient lost their ID and keys, Anitra embarked on a mission to find them and did not stop until she did. The patient was relieved, joyful, and thankful.
From the patient: "Thank you, Anitra, for bringing my life back! Your honesty and sincerity can never be forgotten. My keys and IDs were so important to me. You are a blessing from God."
Chris takes pride in helping the residents get to where they need and want to go. While taking residents to appointments, he might offer to swing by their favorite restaurant or ice cream stand to add some sweetness to their outing. He’s also been known to organize afternoon road trips to residents’ “old stomping grounds” to give them a chance to reflect and reminisce.
According to residents and colleagues, Chris is a stellar leader, servant, colleague, and friend.
