Each month, our facilities and communities host many fun, exciting, and beneficial events that engage and uplift our residents.
We love to showcase these events because they represent an often-overlooked aspect of care––fun! Staying active, engaging with others, and having fun all carry great benefits for body, mind, and spirit. And our residents are getting healthy doses of all three.
Below are some recent events and activities hosted by our communities across the U.S.

Residents at Parkview Care Center rang in the New Year with all the NYE essentials: great food, festive music, and lots of laughter. Each resident captured the exciting celebration by getting a few gilded glam shots!

Cold winter weather inspires cool and unique winter fun. Residents at Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley had a blast conducting an “exploding” snowman experiment!
Here’s how it works:

• Wrap a scoop of baking soda in a paper towel and place in the bag.
• Pour in some vinegar and seal the bag.
• Step back and watch the bag (snowman) “explode!”

On a cold Washington day, there is nothing better than a hearty bowl of chili––especially if it’s also National Bean Day. Residents and staff at The Bridge at Mount Vernon celebrated Bean Day with a big pot of chili. Some of the residents even helped chop and stir the ingredients, while everyone got to enjoy a warm, delicious bowl together.
Happy Bean Day, indeed!

If you want to celebrate Elvis Presley’s birthday the right way, you really need the man himself to make an appearance.
