Staying Active with Life Care – Community Fun for October 2026

Each month, our facilities and communities host many fun and exciting events that engage and uplift our residents.

We love to showcase these events because they represent an often-overlooked aspect of care––fun! Staying active, engaging with others, and having fun all carry great benefits for body, mind, and spirit. And our residents are getting healthy doses of all three!

Below are a few events and activities our communities held in October 2026.

Car Show at Life Care Center of Casper

Life Care Center of Casper has hosted quite a few car shows over the years, but residents called this one the best yet!

Once again, the parking lot filled with spectacular cars that sparked memories, conversation, and meaningful connection. We want to thank the Casper community for showing up and giving our residents and staff such special experiences.

Fall Wreath Creations at The Inn at Garden Plaza

Residents at The Inn at Garden Plaza fashioned some beautiful fall wreaths to show their seasonal spirit. 

They plan to hang them on their apartment doors to fill their halls with autumnal charm.

Coffee with Cops at Life Care Center of Morristown

Many of Morristown's finest stopped by Life Care Center of Morristown to enjoy some coffee and donuts with the residents!

We love to see our facilities connecting with and showing appreciation for law enforcement and first responders who, like us, do their best to support, protect, and serve.

 

Horse-and-Carriage Rides at Cherry Creek Retirement Village

Giddy up! Residents and staff at Cherry Creek recently enjoyed lovely horse-and-carriage rides around the community.

Whack-a-“Gazelle” at Alameda Oaks Nursing Center

We never dreamed we would see Alameda Oaks residents whacking one of our staff over the head for fun, but here we are! "Whacking" is a bit of a strong word, but many residents gathered to play "whack-a-gazelle," in which medical director Gisell dodged very gentle pops with (very soft) pool noodles.
